The biggest news happening in the vaping world is the regulations placed on vape products by the FDA. On August 8th, 2016, new regulations go into effect. Essentially, products introduced to the market after February 15, 2007 will undergo a harsh regulation process. As you may know, vaping products have come a long way since 2007, and there are 2 pieces of legislation that would change the regulatory date to August 8, 2016 instead. This would mean that vapor products that are in the market now would be able to remain so, and not have to go through the FDA Approval process. You can sign a petition to support changing the predicate date here: http://cqrcengage.com/casaa/app/write-a-letter?0&engagementId=153933. You may have seen memes and pictures with the hashtag #vaporblackout2016. This is a campaign aimed show solidarity and support for vape shops and vapers and to take a stand against the regulations to be imposed by the FDA. Here is a mashup of some of the memes that advocates hope to flood social media with: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5x-FvY0eGc. We urge you to join us in taking a stand to support vaping and vape products.
